Getting Started with Your Online Courses:

1. Textbooks: You have two options for getting your textbooks - you can order them online at http://www.dctcbookstore.com or you can come to campus and purchase your textbooks directly from the bookstore.

2. Email: You will need an email account for your online course. If you do not currently have an email address or would like one specifically for your online course - you can sign up for a free account with METNET. Check out our Email Account page for information on how to setup and use your account.

If you create a new address - please send an email to online@dctc.edu with your name, tech id and email address so we can get it updated in the system.

3. Logging in: To log into your online course - go to http://www.onlinedctc.com and enter your username and password. Your username is your firstname.lastname and your password is your tech ID number found either on your fee statement or your tech ID card.

4. Accessing your course: Once you have logged into the D2L system you will see a heading on the page that says "My Dakota County Technical College Courses". Under that heading you should see +Fall Semester 2005, click on the +. Then you will see a list of the departments that your classes are in click on the + sign to the left of the department name and then you will see your course name. Click on the Course name to go to the course homepage.
