SMARTHINKING is a free online tutoring service available to both online and on-campus Dakota County Technical College Students.

• Drop-in online with an online tutor.
• Schedule a time to meet with an online tutor in a variety of topics.
• Submit your writing to an online writing center and they will send feedback.
• Variety of useful academic resources.

Create & log in to your account

To use Smarthinking you will first need to create a Smarthinking username and password.

• Log into OnlineDCTC (Online Course Login)
• On your D2L home page, find the Smarthinking icon on the left-hand side.
• For first time users, click Register for SMARTHINKING ID
• If you are registered, click Login with your SMARTHINKING ID
